Product Designer
End-to-end digital product design
What this life looks like
You own the entire experience of a digital product. Product Designers combine user research, interaction design, and visual design to shape how a product looks, feels, and functions from start to finish. You are part designer, part strategist, and part advocate for the user.
What she actually does
You work closely with product managers and engineers to define what a product should do and how it should work. You conduct user research, define the information architecture, create interaction flows, produce high-fidelity visual designs, prototype and test with users, and iterate based on feedback. You are involved from the earliest concept through to the final shipped product.
Where you can work

| AgriTech | Twiga Foods, Apollo Agriculture, Farmerline — designing for smallholder farmers |
| Design Agencies | Invent Studios, This Is Galdem, Monotype Africa — product design for multiple clients |
Why it matters in Africa
African tech companies building for local markets need product designers who deeply understand African users — their contexts, constraints, and behaviours. As African fintech, agritech, and healthtech companies grow, the demand for skilled product designers who can build products that genuinely work for African users is intensifying.
