What this life looks like
You trade financial securities on behalf of clients. Stockbrokers buy and sell shares, bonds, and other financial instruments, advising private and institutional investors on investment decisions. As Africa's stock exchanges grow and retail investor participation increases, stockbroking is becoming a more dynamic and technology-enabled profession.
What she actually does
You execute buy and sell orders for securities, advise clients on portfolio construction and investment strategy, research stocks and market trends, manage client relationships, ensure compliance with stock exchange rules and regulations, and use trading platforms and terminals to access market data and execute transactions.
